Greene County magistrate court, week ending April 4

In Greene County magistrate court Daryl Eugene Agent of Ogden was sentenced April 3 to two years in prison after he changed his plea to guilty to a charge of theft- third degree, amended from theft- fifth degree. The prison term is concurrent to aggravated misdemeanor charges in Hamilton, Dallas and Wright counties. Agent was fined $855 with a $128.50 surcharge; both were suspended. He must pay $109.99 restitution to Fareway Meat and Grocery of Jefferson. The court ruled he is unable to pay restitution for his court appointed attorney’s and court costs. A judgment was entered against Ashley Marie Spaulding of Jefferson for a $105 fine with a $15.75 surcharge after she pleaded guilty to a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia. Court costs were $60.

Travis Michael Heinz of Jefferson was sentenced to two days in jail after he pleaded guilty to a charge of domestic abuse assault. He was placed on probation to Boone/Greene County Probation for one year. He must undergo a substance abuse evaluation and complete any recommended treatment. He must also complete a batterer’s education program. He was fined $105 with a $15.75 surcharge on a charge of disorderly conduct in the same case. Charges of interference with official acts and criminal mischief were dismissed. Court costs were $91.50.

Heinz was sentenced to seven days in jail in a separate case in which he was charged with violation of a no contact order. The jail term is consecutive to the term in the previous case. He was fined $105 with a $15.75 surcharge. He was also charged with harassment- third degree. A judgment was entered for a $105 fine with a $15.75 surcharge. Court costs were $123.

Cases were initiated in magistrate court during the week ending April 4 as follows: Mikkel Morris Demello of Jefferson, theft- fifth degree; Lance Leroy Dwinell of Grand Junction, possession of drug paraphernalia; Brian Alan Newton of Grand Junction, possession of drug paraphernalia; and Zachary Allen Smith of Jefferson, simulated public intoxication.
